SOME USEFUL INFORMATION FOR GUESTS
FINDING US
Whilst we're very conveniently located, just minutes from the M42, our only entrance is at the end of a slip road from the A4023 onto the A435 northbound.
Please plan your route before setting off, and don't rely on putting 'Gorcott Hall' into your Google Maps! It'll likely take you on a route which will result in you trying to cut across slip road traffic.! Much better to use this link and follow the directions, or simply click here to load Google Maps with out recommended route!
WHEN YOU ARRIVE
We're rightly proud of our team here, and they'll be on hand to offer help in directing you where to go. Just look out for our crew - white shirts, blue jeans, khaki aprons, broad smile!
PARKING
We have a large, gravelled car park suitable for around 60 considerately parked cars. All cars are parked at the drivers own risk.
Guests leaving vehicles overnight must remove them no later than 10:00AM the following day, unless explicit agreement has been given by a senior member of the team here. The gates are
often locked after this time when events are not taking place.
There is insufficient space here for a coach or bus to manoeuvre safely.
FOOD AND DRINK
We have a couple of great, well stocked bars, including some fabulous draught beers and cider. We aim to keep our prices in line with the local pubs, so we believe we offer great value. All of our bars are cashless. We accept most other payment methods, including American Express.
All alcohol consumed within the grounds of Gorcott Hall must be supplied by Gorcott Hall. Guests who consume alcohol other than that purchased from ourselves (either from the bar or as part of the couple's drinks package) are likely to be asked to leave the event. Gorcott Hall is a licensed premises, and this rule is strictly enforced. Please don't spoil the day for the happy couple.
We operate a strict ‘Challenge 21’ policy. Any guest appearing to be younger than 21 will need to provide valid photographic ID to purchase alcoholic drinks.
DRUGS
We operate a zero tolerance policy to the carrying or using of illegal drugs anywhere on the premises here at Gorcott Hall.
Anyone violating this policy will be reported to the police immediately and asked to leave the event, without exception.
SMOKING & VAPING
Smoking and Vaping is strictly prohibited inside any of the buildings or near doorways here at Gorcott Hall. Smoking and Vaping is permitted on the patio adjacent to the lawn, beneath the Willow Tree on the car park and, when the bifold doors are closed, on the Wedding Barn patio.
Gorcott Hall is a timber framed, 16th Century building; as such our smoke detectors are hyper sensitive and are triggered immediately when smoking or vaping occurs indoors. This
will result in the alarms being sounded and a full evacuation of the premises whilst we await the Fire Brigade.
TAXIS
If you're not driving home, please try and plan ahead where possible. Nearly all events here at Gorcott Hall finish at midnight, and we ask all guests to be off the premises by 00:20AM. The buildings will all be locked at this time.
We're lucky to have a number of very reliable local taxi companies here, our favourite being A2B Taxis Redditch - their number is 01527 60000. Uber coverage here is OK, and improving all the time.
Pre-booking A2B is highly recommended, especially at weekends
YOUNGER GUESTS
Children are more than welcome at our venue. However, here are some things to look out for - the pond is very deep, and the banks very slippery, so we’d ask you to keep a watchful eye on your little ones.
There are also badger setts and fox dens in the fields adjoining the lawn. As such, children must not stray from the main lawn.
Children must not be left unaccompanied at any time in the buildings, including accommodation, or the grounds.
WI-FI
Please note there is no public Wi-Fi here at Gorcott Hall. 4G/5G mobile coverage is excellent, however.
STAYING OVER?
If you're lucky enough to be staying in one of our five boutique ensuite bedrooms, our team will be on hand to show you to your room and get you settled in. Check in time is 2:00PM, although we are happy to place guest's luggage in their rooms before that time. For some events, it may be possible to facilitate an earlier check-in, please make any requests for early check-in to the couple, who will be able to discuss it with the team here.
The keys to the guest rooms are held by our team, who will happily escort guests to their rooms whenever required.
Breakfast is served in The Orangery at 8:45AM.
Children must be accompanied by an adult in the accommodation at all times.
CONFETTI
No confetti of any description is allowed within the main grounds at Gorcott Hall; this includes confetti cannons and confetti filled balloons.
As an alternative, many of our couples provide some bubbles, which is a great (and much neater!) option!
