COME ON IN!

"The photos don't do it justice".  We hear this a lot. So, we hope the first time you get to see the old girl in all her glory, you'll be as gobsmacked as we were back in 2004, when poor old Gorcott Hall was in a very sorry state. No roof, no windows, unloved and very sad. But she still gave us butterflies. We think you'll get them too. 

Your showround will be unhurried, (hopefully) fun, and there's nothing off limits. You'll get to see every part of the venue itself, and maybe even a behind the scenes peak here and there! Your host will be able to answer any questions you have and there is definitely no high pressure selling going on!

If you like what you see, you're more than welcome to pop back again, maybe with family members or friends. Actually we encourage it. This is a big decision for you. We want you to get it right.​ You'll get a fully bespoke proposal, giving you some suggestions on how your day might look.

Choosing your wedding venue is a massive decision for you. Get it right. Your hearts will tell you when you've found 'the one', just like they did when you two met. We won't bombard you with phone calls and emails begging you to book. We want to be your 'one', but only you can decide that.

Get in touch and we'll organise your showround at a time to suit you. Evening viewings more than welcome.

If we're privileged enough that you allow us to hold your big day here, we'll be here throughout the planning process and beyond. 

Our fabulous team includes two former Gorcott brides, so if anyone can help guide you through the twists and turns, it's them. We go out of our way to create a fun and relaxed run up to your wedding, making sure that all of the truly hard work is done leading up to the day itself. Every i will be dotted, every t crossed. And come the glorious day, you'll arrive here safe in the knowledge that you're in the very best hands. We love what we do, we have a lot of fun, but professionalism is at the heart of everything we do. You'll find that out very early on in your journey with us.

We'll be on hand 7 days a week to answer ANY questions you might have, or to give you guidance on choosing suppliers, or anything else you don't know the answers to! Remember, there are NO SILLY QUESTIONS when it comes to planning your big day. We've got an awful lot of it covered anyway - we'll provide you with tools to help with planning your day, including seating plans, timings, even down to choosing the background music for the drinks reception.

EXCLUSIVE OPEN DAYS

We don't do Wedding Fayres here at Gorcott. Our Open Days are a little bit different too. Exclusively for our booked couples, we throw open the doors a couple of times each year so you can see the place teeming with happy people. It's a great opportunity for you to meet some of our lovely team, including our talented chef who'll be providing delicious canapés and sweet treats. We'll have plenty of complimentary drinks available to wash them down with too.

There'll be some carefully selected suppliers here - our "Friends of Gorcott". From Cake Makers to DJ's to Photographers and Musicians, we'll have it covered. Don't worry, there'll be no hard selling going on, just an opportunity for you to chat with them about all things weddings. Bu t we won't ever tell you who your suppliers should be, we know you want to make your day as unique as you are. 

This is also a great chance for you to introduce some friends and family to the magic of Gorcott Hall - you can even bring along your chosen suppliers so they can get a feel for the place, we'd love to meet them!

EXAMPLE TIMINGS

We're often asked about the timings for your biggest of days. Every wedding is different, so we can tweak your timings based on the time (and location!) of your ceremony, whether you have additional evening guests, and the time of year.

But the milestones below will give you an idea, and can be helpful in terms of organising invitations and suppliers etc. Timings are based on a 2:00PM ceremony taking place here at Gorcott Hall.

9:00 AM

The bride tribe arrives! Our team will be ready to see everyone settled in, get the dresses hung and hook you up to the sound system. We'll have some chilled Prosecco ready and breakfast will be with you shortly. Note an earlier check in is sometimes possible, with a small surcharge to cover additional staffing costs

12:45 PM

Your partner arrives, in plenty of time for the final interview with the registrar. We'll soon have the bar open for a nerve settling beer!

1:00 PM

Guests begin arriving, the house and gardens are all their's to explore and enjoy

1:30 PM

Those final meetings with the registrar, no backing out now! Some last minute prep back in the Gown Suite before the big moment....

2:00 PM

I do!! The ceremony takes place in your chosen space. A civil ceremony usually takes less than half an hour, leaving you plenty of time to celebrate afterwards!

2:30 PM

That's it, you've tied the knot! Time now to enjoy your afternoon. Reception drinks are served immediately. usually followed soon after by canapés. Plenty of time now for photos and to meet and greet your lovely guests.

4:15 PM

approx - we'll get our in-house MC to round everybody up and seat them in the barn for your wedding breakfast. We'll call you two in to your chosen tune, setting the tone for a fun filled late afternoon and evening.

4:30 PM

We'll start serving your bespoke wedding breakfast. Your first meal as a married couple!

6:30 PM

Time for those all important speeches. Complimentary wireless microphones are provided. Your evening entertainment can begin their setup as soon as the speeches are over.

7:30 PM

Evening guests begin to arrive

8:00 PM

Cut that fabulous cake, followed by that carefully rehearsed first dance!

9:00 PM

We'll start serving your evening food

Midnight

Carriages for your guests, back to our beautiful accommodation for you and your lucky overnight guests.

8:45AM

The following day - breakfast is served for your overnight guests in the orangery
